OUR STORY

Caleb King, Owner and Experienced Tradesman always thought he’d run away from the family business, but when you’ve been mixing mortar and moving stones since you were in diapers, anything else feels unnatural.

King Stoneworks is a 4th generation business. We are rich in family legacy, unwavering work ethic and a rock-solid commitment to doing the job right.

Our story begins in the early 1900’s with Caleb’s grandfather and great-grandfather who were known as the local jacks of all trades. Stone masonry was just a small part of a long list of jobs they did, but Caleb’s father, Natt and his uncles took it a step further, building upon the skills they learned from their father to home in on stone masonry as their master trade.

Starting as a solo operation with Natt, a proud Marine Veteran, in 1975/76 and officially becoming Natt King Stoneworks in the early 90’s, we’re proud that the King name became synonymous with superior, long-lasting, functional art style stone masonry.

By the time Caleb was 18, he’d had the privilege of learning decades worth of knowledge and application, from the guidance and leadership of his father and uncles. Still, his steel-toed boots attempted another path.

While working full-time in the business, he went to college where he achieved both a Bachelor’s in Anthropology and Masters in Environmental Science and Policy. Then it hit him like a block of granite. Just a couple of months into a six-month sabbatical working for an environmental science company, he thought, “this isn’t what I want.” Stonework came naturally to him; he enjoyed it; he was good at it, and it would allow him to provide for his family.

In 2014, Caleb was back by his father’s side and ready to make bold moves.  He took over the day-to-day operations in 2018, allowing his parents to move toward retirement.

In 2021, he went all in, buying Natt King Stoneworks and today, we are King Stoneworks.

We are proud to continue to serve the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, rooted in all the knowledge, experience, quality, integrity, and commitment of the generations before us.

We look forward to bringing you the distinguished masonry you’re looking for to turn your vacation or primary home into the luxurious escape you deserve.

CALEB KING

Caleb, who’s been mixing mortar and moving stones since his days in diapers, purchased his father, Natt’s business (Natt King Stoneworks) in 2021.  Born and raised in Moultonboro, NH, he’s a proud Lakes Region native with a lifelong appreciation of his rural roots, which have influenced a keen sense of natural design in King Stoneworks projects. He’s worked in stone masonry design and construction since high school, following the footsteps of the three King generations before him. Today, he’s a master of his craft with a drive to make his clients happy, treat his team well, and continue to keep the King name at the top of the stone mason game in the Lakes Region. Caleb enjoys living in Meredith with his wife, Kimberly and their two daughters.
